Fidelity's Commitment to the Community
A great company is one that's committed to making the world a better place. Good corporate citizenship has been a Fidelity ideal since the company was founded. Fidelity is committed to being a good corporate citizen in all of the communities we work and live in.
Fidelity's chairman, Ned Johnson, introduced the company to kaizen, the Japanese idea that a number of small changes lead to big improvements over time. Our employees continually ask: how can we do this better? It's the catalyst for our innovation and ability to grow businesses. From our start in 1947 introducing the Puritan Fund, to the first use of an 800# to sell direct to customers in 1974, the first financial services firm with a web page in 1995, to our advanced online tools today, we use the latest innovation in information processing, analysis and communication to deliver the best service to our customers.
